A range of equipment costing £59,000 for the simulation suite to help train doctors and nurses of the future, including the Sim Man – a realistic, full-body adult wireless patient simulator
Specialist diagnostic equipment (Heidelberg machine) costing £153,000 for the Friarage Outpatient Ophthalmology Service
£42,000 towards the Ambulatory Care Service which provides same day emergency care to patients at Friarage Hospital.
This means that patients are assessed, diagnosed, treated and then sent home the same day with ongoing clinical follow-up as required.
£500,000 contribution towards the purchase of an MRI scanner for Friarage Hospital
£38,000 towards the establishment of a Blackout Service for patients experiencing a temporary loss of consciousness
A double donation of bladder scanning equipment worth £10,300 for the community continence nursing team and the gynaecology department at the Friarage Hospital
