The Northallerton Male Voice Choir at Thirsk & Sowerby Town Hall

A huge thank you to Thirsk Ladies Club who hosted a visit by Northallerton Male Voice Choir on Saturday 5th April at Thirsk & Sowerby Town Hall. The venue was full of appreciative music lovers and they were not disappointed. The selection ranged from classics made famous by Matt Monro, Frank Sinatra and Tony Christie, through to a Gilbert and Sullivan piece from Iolanthe. The choir were equally delighted at the response from their audience. As the first of three fundraising events in 2025, the Thirsk Ladies Club Committee were extremely happy to begin the year in such a pleasant and entertaining way. The evening event raised £1,160 which will be shared at the end of the year between the Friends of the Friarage Eye Appeal and Thirsk Community Library. Thanks to everyone who made the evening a success.
