Red Hot Ball Thirsk Donates a Whopping £10,000!

An enormous THANK YOU to the committee members of the Red Hot Ball from Thirsk who selected Friends of the Friarage to receive an incredible £10,000 donation from the proceeds of their annual ball held at Thirsk Racecourse for school children in years 9 and 10. We are so grateful for their generosity and are working with them to decide how this wonderful amount will be put to good use at the Friarage.

Committee member Abi Briggs explained the reason for donating to Friends of the Friarage,

"A few of us on the committee had our children at the Friarage - some within a few weeks of each other, meaning they are in the same year at school and were all at the ball together this time, therefore we thought it would be fitting to come full circle and donate back to the hospital where they all started together! We all continue to use the Friarage for various appointments and it's such a great hospital where we are always treated well."
