Generous £1,000 donation from Hunton Steam Gathering

We recently caught up with some of the committee members from Hunton Steam Gathering to thank them for their very generous donation of £1,000 towards our Eye Appeal. We were over the moon when they got in touch to let us know that we’d been selected as one of their local causes to support.

Committee member Ben explained,

“Every year we have the tough decision of choosing where the money should go, and we debated over supporting just one cause or splitting the funds across several. We decided that we would like to help as many as possible this year, therefore this year we split the donations across 8 causes. Supporting Friends of the Friarage was an easy choice for us to make as the Friarage is somewhere we will all need at some point.”

This year's steam gathering takes place on the 13th and 14th September and is a fantastic day out for all the family - we can’t wait for it! Thank you again to everyone involved at Hunton Steam Gathering for your support!
